How to Display Your Travel Memories

All Inclusive Resort Tips Memories Photos

You’ve traveled, you’ve bought souvenirs, taken many photos and you’re looking at everything and thinking now what?  I totally get the feeling.  For many years I’d take so many photos on my trips and then just put them on facebook and that was pretty much it.  I knew I had to come up with some way to showcase our travels.  Everyone’s space is different, but I wanted to share with you what I have done in order to easily display our travel memories and travel related decor.

We have a very unique space at the bottom of our stairs to the basement that was created when we built our house.  I struggled for a few years trying to decide what to do with the space.  Finally, it came to me: travel!  I would use the space to display my travel memories and other travel related decor.  Being at the bottom of the stairs near our guest bathroom our company would also get the pleasure of looking at the display as well.

The big question was how to display the pictures as I was not going to buy frames for each photo. Even a collage style frame would get very expensive.  I wanted a frugal option, so  I settled on bulletin boards.  This allows for a lot of flexibility in how the photos are displayed and I can easily take down and move around whenever I like.

In this space we display more than just photos.  We saved some of our all inclusive bracelets that you have to wear while there, maps of the resorts, airplane tickets and things like that.  I have also purchased cute travel related signs.  My in-laws had a globe that they gave us, so I added that to the space.  My favorite part about this space is that there’s room to grow!  Finding a space to display your travel memories is a great way to enjoy them for years to come.
